Identifying what you need sounds simple, but it is a struggle for all of us. We often feel trapped in our own harsh or fearful inner dialogues. Naturally, we hide or deny parts of ourselves that seem unacceptable. Hurt, resentment and dissatisfaction can build in our relationships when we don’t know how to express what we need. With openness and compassion, we can explore and gain clarity on what holds you back. Together we can build skills that increase your confidence in making changes that matter to you.
My intention as a registered clinical counsellor is to support clients in living with a sense of personal power, self-acceptance, and balance. I received my masters from UBC and specialize in relationship, gender, and queer issues. Taking an anti-oppressive stance, I aim to understand the many influences that shape my clients’ challenges. I strive to shine light on their resiliency and potential for connectedness and growth. I work with folks from all backgrounds and am experienced working with the complexities of intersectional identities. When I am not counselling, you are likely to find me riding my bike, dancing, making art, hiking, cuddling with my cats, and spending time with my loved ones.
