Chronic difficulties or sudden obstacles in our lives can leave us struggling. I provide a warm, gentle, accepting, and empathic space from which to build on inner strengths toward greater awareness, autonomy, and empowerment. My approach to counselling is collaborative, holistic, and trauma-informed. My commitment is to walk alongside you and co-create a path that supports you at your own pace toward therapeutic healing and personal growth. As a long-time observer of mindfulness meditation and other practices that strengthen the mind-body connection, I pay close attention to the many ways in which somatic issues inform the therapeutic process.

My personal and professional experience have enriched my understanding of the struggles facing diverse populations. Among those I work with are people from the LGBTQ+ community, individuals with alternative relationship structures, and people who have experienced war-based trauma, including second-generation war-survivors and refugees. As well, I work with seniors and their caregivers, including those who have been impacted by Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias.

I’m a second-generation Canadian with Jewish and Slavic roots and grew up in Quebec. As a Settler in the Lower Mainland, I have lived, worked, and played on the traditional, ancestral, and unceded territories of the Musqueam, Squamish, Stó:lō and Tsleil Waututh people for more than two decades. After many years of work in communications for non-profits, I am honoured to be working directly with diverse populations on their unique healing journeys.

My language of practice is English, but I am fluent in French as well.
