When we’re alone, facing what causes us pain and discomfort can be confusing and overwhelming. I believe that therapy is the doorway to self-knowing and that the most profound healing occurs when exploration happens in the presence of a safe and supportive other. I strive to provide a warm, empathetic, and non-judgmental space where together we can explore and work through the difficult feelings, thoughts, and experiences that are impacting your personal functioning, relationships, and healing.
I believe that emotion is a key organizer of our inner experience, and key to effective interactions in relationships. When we can identify, recognize, and own our authentic emotions, we can experience change, growth, and relief.
My approach to counselling is holistic (mind, body, and spirit), emotion-focused, attachment-based, person-centred, trauma-informed, and anti-oppressive. I work with adults of all identities, social locations, genders, and cultures. I believe every individual is unique and an expert in their own life, and from this perspective we can work together to co-create a path that best supports your personal awareness, growth, and therapeutic goals.
